I am happily married to my beautiful wife, Alissa, a high school science teacher. God has richly blessed us with five children of which three are still at home. I am a graduate of Georgia State University with a degree in Psychology.  Originally hailing from Michigan, I have now lived in Georgia for seventeen years.

Derren Burse

Welcome to Grace Baptist Christian School’s website. Excellence in academics while growing spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially is our goal. GBCS diligently pursues a rigorous curriculum meeting or exceeding state and national standards. I am here to meet the needs of the teachers, students, and parents as we work together for the students’ academic success.

Originally from Kentucky, I met my husband in Miami, Florida. We are former missionaries to the country of Albania and have now lived in Georgia for seven years. We have three grown sons, Benjamin, Charles, and Blair. My husband, Blair, serves the Lord as a hospice nurse all throughout northern metro Atlanta. I am a graduate of Pensacola Christian College with a BS and MS in Elementary Education. I have also continued my education at Grand Canyon University in Educational Administration. It is my joy and privilege to serve Jesus Christ in the ministry of Grace Baptist Christian School.
